Aruba, southern Caribbean Sea, Kingdom of the Netherlands, 5–20 m depth - Collected by local diver [Ex coll. Italia, old private collection] IMS-CCU-001 Shell notes: Medium-dark colour form; well-developed orange-brown spiral pattern with fine punctate spiral rows. Apertural lip intact and well preserved. One to two very faint growth lines present; otherwise nearly pristine. Overall condition: near gem (F+++/GEM?). Remarks: Historical collection specimen. This species is increasingly difficult to obtain from Aruba under present-day marine conservation regulations, adding historical and reference value to the specimen.
