Charonia euclia - Deep Water Variant !!! , Hedley, 1914

Note
Euclia is a pale deep water form of Charonia lampas found on our south coast in depths between 125 and 250 metres. It was ROV collected from 140 metres of water south east of Augusta during October 2025. A good sized specimen with thick gemmy lip and canal. The shell has is a Octopus drill hole to the shoulder. We only collect an occasional specimen. Nice shell !!!
