NoteKnown from only a handful of specimens this is one of Western Australia’s rarest volutes. Recently named after accumulating a 3 or 4 specimens over many years from deep water fishing activities. Finally enough specimens surfaced to name this interesting species. This specimen is dead taken and has a some issues, the lip is chipped and there is a growth fold on the dorsum as you can see in the photos, however the protoconch is intact the spire is good. Good colour and pattern . Presents ok, one for the serious volute collectors . A good representative specimen . The sixth one ever found.
