NoteA superb specimen of the classic Yorke Peninsula dark form. Markedly inflated ovate, with exquisite proportions. Hypermature, with marked solidity and weight, and malleated dorsal surface. Not freshly collected for around four decades, and now obtainable only from choice old collections, and very seldom at this level of quality and beauty. Data: Off Edithburgh, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, Australia; upon reef substrate, upon red sponge; 1981. Size: 64.8 mm. Grading: Fine++++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
