Note
On our last collecting campaign to the Shark Bay area we ran across a population of very small jeaniana in the area west of the Northern Portion of Dirk Hartog Island off Shark Bay. This little guy was found munching on a geodia sponge in 115 metres of water west northwest of Quoin Head. Exceptional little shell with sparse tan brown smudges imposed on a chevron dorsum with mauve tan lighting pattern on a white background. The base is a stunning rufinistic red tan. Graded Fine++ as it has some soft dorsal growth irregularity and two small re-glazed and well healed tooth scrapes as indicated by the green arrows in the photos. It is a cute and very different jeaniana.
