NoteSmall rosselli with distinct mantle slot. Collected from a purple globe sponge in 58 metres of water on the top of Big Bank to the west of Kalbarri. It is heavy and mature with perfect siphons but has some nacre windowing and some green algal in its nacre. These are issues in most rosselli we see in the northern portion of the habitat range. I attribute that to hot water events associated with global warming and stressed shells not extending their mantle and maintaining their external nacre.
