NoteThe FINEST and most beautiful R.O.V.-collected aurata of the JES Collection, and one of the BEST R.O.V. specimens ever collected, this magnificent specimen of the deep-water northern form exhibits extremely rich and beautiful colour, in conjunction with a dorsal pattern of the highest aesthetic merit, constituted of multitudinous large, coalescent yellow-caramel maculae. ‘Frosted’ pale orange termninals. Lemon ventrum, with pure white dentition. Markedly inflated, supremely symmetrical proportions. Rarely do I urge acquisition, but, should a highly advanced Zoila specialist be seeking a ‘top of the line’ aurata of exceptional beauty, then this is the shell to purchase. Data: Off West of Coral Bay, Gascoyne region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate, amongst sponges, upon white funnel sponge; 160-165 m; R.O.V.; 2024. Size: 83.5 mm. Grading: Gem.
