N.Argentina, Buenos-Aires Province, off Mar del Plata, trawled, 90-120m.depth, muddy sand, stones (10.1970) F+++ Uncommon, NICE interesting set of 2! Old collection. This large shell is unusual! It has a short siphon and two varixes on the body (the balanuses were intentionally left in place. They can be easily removed if desired). Some chips on lip. Small shell – classic form for comparison. Both with eroded apex as always. From my personal collection.
