NoteOne of the LARGEST and FINEST specimens obtained during the 2024-2025 lobster season of this VERY RARE, recently discovered and described endemic Dry Tortugas subspecies. Extremely large size. Exemplary quality for such size. Particularly rich colour. Spectacular pattern, of the highest aesthetic merit, formed with the utmost regularity and clarity. One typical, negligible disruption to an early whorl. Typical slightly rough, completely NATURAL apertural lip, with no artificial smoothing. Data: Off East Key, Dry Tortugas, Monroe County, Florida, U.S.A.; upon sand substrate; 80 m; lobster trap; 2025. Size: 124.4 mm. Grading: Fine++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
