The majority of examples are dead-collected, in a fair to poor state, but the current magnificent specimen is / as LIVE-COLLECTED GEM. Definitely for the dedicated collector of the world’s finest and rarest seashells. Data: Off Makaha, Oahu, Hawai’ian Islands; upon sand/rubble substrate; 80-120 m; lobster pot; 1991. Size: 73.8 mm.
