| Note | SPECIAL SALE – MASTERPIECES OF THE JES COLLECTION: A MAGNIFICENT, ULTRA-LARGE, FLAWLESS GEM specimen, from the ‘old days’ of Honduran availability, exhibiting the richest, now fully stable colour possible for this much coveted Caribbean subspecies. Collected during the early 1990s Honduran deep-water lobster netting operations. Although numerous specimens were obtained at the time, most were small, and of less brilliant colour, with extremely few exhibiting this combination of size, quality, and beauty. Such specimens have become highly prized ‘collector’s items’ amongst Muricidae specialists, and now command a premium. Beautiful colour: an admixture of rich apricot, rose, and orange. Exquisite varical fronds of delicate, symmetrical, fractal structure, reminiscent of a branch of a snowflake. Virtually impossible to obtain at this size and level of quality now, available only when released from the choicest old collections. A rare opportunity for an advanced Muricidae specialist to acquire a ‘top of the line’, ‘museum piece’ example of this elusive subspecies.
