Melo miltonis - SUPERB AND RARE , J.E. Gray in E. Griffith & E. Pidgeon, 1834
Size
205 mm
Locality
Australia
Note
ELEGANT MELO MILTONIS. The miltonis stands out among the Melo by its slender elongate shape, but especially by the strong purplish-brown pattern which is sometimes beautiful as it is the case in this specimen. Abbottsmith documented color forms and this specimen corresponds to his "Geraldton form". Fine++ - I wonder if gems exist - smoothed lip as usual. Less common than most Melo. Australia. Western Australia. 30-50 m. #1223519
