| Note | Caught by divers, 45m deep Oct 2012 in Tungkil Island. The protoconch is gone, typical for this size. Some chips at the whurl and some thin scars, not obvious. This is definitely the biggest triton to be offered since I started shellauction 3 years ago and certainly the biggest I have seen. World record size is 490mm, from the Philippines and I measured this one at 465~470mm, but I will put it at a lower approximation at 465mm. They certainly don't get this size very often. Extremely rare size. Very heavy. |
